Who We Are
There seems to be a comprehensive blog, or app for everything involving the weather, such as sailing, or surfing, or even skiing. But Jesse (follow him on IG!), a road and ultra runner, and Chris, a meteorologist and ultra runner, came up with the idea of a ' shoes on the ground' forecast for race day. Sure, you can find a Weather Channel or other computerized 'running forecast' app that will give you a general idea of what might happen, but we wanted to take it a step further. For example, if you're running the Boston Marathon, you don't just want to know what the forecast will be in Boston that day. You want to know what the forecast will be in Hopkinton at the start, for YOUR wave, and how the weather will change along the way. If you're running Chicago, you're going to want to know how the buildings in the beginning and the open pavement near the end will affect temperature and wind speed. Luckily, Jesse has run both of these courses and knows what they're like. While there may be just a few races at first, they plan to add more as time goes on. They hope you enjoy the blog and add any comments you might find to be worthwhile!
